To make a power of attorney, to certify your signature on a document or to certify a copy of a document you need to visit the Consulate in person and present your national passport .

 

     To make the British document valid in Russia:

1.           You send the original document for Apostille (Legalization Department of the British MFA)

2.           The document together with Apostille should be translated into Russian.

3.           Then you bring these documents to the Consulate to confirm the proper translation into Russian.

      For those, who do not speak Russian, the process it:

1. You should double check the text of the document with the person in Russia, whether they accept it or not.

2.          You should bring it to the British notary arid sign it there. The notary confirms your signature.

3.          You send the document for Apostille (Legalization Department of the British MFA)
4.   The document together with Apostille should be translated into Russian.

5.   Then you bring these documents to the Consulate to confirm the proper translation into Russian
